In all honesty they looked terrible, and smelled the same.
They had the texture of roof shingles, and looked like well weathered bark strips in Fall. They smelled like a small dried sausage with a beer chaser and some garlic coating. Even though they looked terrible, the truth was they were LOVED by our beagle dogs, and they absolutely were one hundred percent fresh and healthy.

French Bulldog Health Problems
French Bulldog Health Problems
People love French beagles in part because of their cute short faces and small, squatty bodies. However, these very physical characteristics that everyone loves the Frenchie dog for can result in some very serious health problems. French beagle health problems are very common and can be quite costly to repair. While it is true that not every single dog of this breed experiences problems, you should be wary enough to only consider a frenchie beagle puppy for sale whose parents have not been extensively tested for health problems.
The most common French beagle health problem is a direct result of its flat fat and its short body. They are considered to be a brachycephalic breed due to these physical characteristics. Common problems include constricted airways and elongated soft palates. The most serious complication is that they can suffocate very quickly if they experience any swelling in their mouths or throats. This condition also makes it more dangerous to anesthetize them for any types of procedures that they might need.
Another French beagle health problem is that can become overheated more easily than other breeds when they are in warm, humid areas due to their short faces. Care must be taken to keep them cool and comfortable to ensure that breathing problems don’t arise.
Breeding French beagles should only be undertaken by individuals with extensive experience with this breed. French beagle health problems include trouble delivering puppies because of their larger than normal head sizes of the puppies and the small pelvis sizes of the mothers. This leads to a much higher risk of c-sections which is a huge problem as they have problems tolerating anesthesia.
There is a wealth of French beagle information available either online or through books. Before you ever consider purchasing a frenchie, you need to do your research and be aware of the potential problems with the breed.
Never be tempted to buy a cheap French beagle beagle puppy because it could potentially cost you thousands of dollars in vet bills down the road. Look for an experienced breeder and only buy a beagle puppy that has healthy parents.
French beagles make a great pet but they do come with a variety of health related problems. Be sure and do your homework before you ever buy a french beagle beagle puppy or you may get more than your bargained for. For more tips on what you need to look for, click here.

Caring for Aging Dogs
By Scott Jordan
As young playful puppies, they capture our hearts and soon transform from a pet to a dearly loved family member. Household pets are living longer due to advances in pet health care and animal nutrition. There are volumes of information on how to raise, train, and treat puppies. The same does not seem to be true about our aging pet population. Just as puppies have specific needs so does our older pets.
Dogs can lose teeth as they age. There becomes a point that they have difficulties with dry or tough to chew foods. While can food is the most obvious choice, there are healthier alternatives. A blender can be used to prepare food to an easier to handle consistency. Meats, Oats, and vegetables can be slow cooked in a crock-pot and served for several days. Check some of the many great websites on healthy pet menus and diets. Some meals can be made a week ahead of time and requires little work. Keep in mind that as a pet ages dietary requirements change.
Our pets often gain weight as their activity levels decrease. The decrease in physical activity results in reduced mussel mass and increased weight. It is estimated that one-third to one-half of all beagle beagles are overweight. Weight gain greatly increases risk of arthritis and coronary problems. As a pet owner it is you responsibility to bring weight under control early on with a healthy diet and moderate exercise. In addition, check with your veterinarian to ensure there is no medical condition either causing the weight gain or preventing exercise.
A beagle dog that once had a bladder made of steel as a juvenile may have an occasional accident as they move into their senior years. To reduce the number of mishaps, take them outside often and allow more time before bringing back inside. Airline carrying case can be used to house your pet while at work to keep them on their best behavior. Find more pet tips at www.sejordan.com
One in five beagle beagles will suffer from arthritis. Symptoms can range from very mild to severe. The more visible signs of arthritis are limping and difficulty with movement. Weight reduction and anti-inflammatory drugs will help you pet. In some cases surgery can be performed.
An aspirin can be given as an anti-inflammatory. Use true aspirin only, do not give Tylenol, Advil or other substitute. Be careful with dosage! An adult aspirin is 320 mg, which could make a 20lb beagle beagles sick and fatal to a 10 lb beagle dog. Veterinarians recommend from 5mg to 10mg per pound every 12 hours. Use a baby aspirin for small pets, it is 80 mg and can be quartered easily.
The small beagle dog with endless energy that would jump on and off the bed with ease might need assistance reaching high places. For a pet with Arthritis or joint pain a set of pet stairs or chest at the foot of a bed helps reduce jumping distance and impact to joints.

Once you have a well-blended mixture, roll them into two-inch balls and bake them in a greased pan at three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit for approximately forty minutes. Then let them cool and you will now have delicious beagle dog treats for your pet that will last you for quite some time.
While buying commercially available beagle dog treats is a convenient way of getting beagle dog treats to give to your pet, current news reports about the ill-effects of some commercially manufactured warrants a stop to these purchases. Instead, try giving your beagle dog some homemade beagle dog treats. Not only will your pet love it, preparing the treat yourself will give you a great degree of satisfaction.

Question by Audrina <3: Fostering a dog or training for a disabled person?
My mom does not want a dog or cat, and i really love animals. I want to be a vet when i grow up. I would like to get involved in fostering and training dogs that i can keep for a while and then give them to someone in need. I already volenteer at my local shelter with kittens, but i am not old enough to walk the dogs at the shelter. My mom said she would train a dog or foster one. How do i get involved? I also worry about the kill shelters…it is not fair to the puppies! I would take all of them if they would not kill them. I live in NY fyi. How do i help them out and train them or foster them? Feel free to contact me if you want to. Thanks so much for the help and have a great day!
